 TCV 2072  SITE SURVEYING

The scope of the subject will be focused on the basic theory and practical of surveying and leveling. Study of instrument for measuring lines and determining distances, instruments for measuring angles, elevations and determining directions. The care and use of Engineer’s level and transit, actual fieldwork, running and measuring a closed traverse. The plotting of grid elevations by longitudinal and cross-section leveling, preparing a contour plan of the site. Positioning of a building on the site. Measuring an existing building height by theodolite.
